A big congratulations to all the not-for-profit scholarship applicants awarded scholarships to date in 2023.

In partnership with our leading education providers, we have awarded to date 462 scholarships in 2023 to not-for-profit staff and board members. These scholarships support building capabilities, including leadership and management skills, technical skills and governance knowledge.

CPA Australia – CPA Program Scholarships

Australian Scholarship Foundation, in partnership with CPA Australia, proudly announces the recipients of the CPA Australia – CPA Program scholarship for the upcoming academic year. Five recipients have been awarded this prestigious scholarship to pursue finance and accounting studies in 2024.

Kaplan Business School Master of Business Administration Scholarship

This year the Australian Scholarships Foundation and Kaplan Business School are delighted to award five 100% scholarships to not-for-profit leaders following a strong cohort of applicants. The Kaplan Business School MBA 2023 recipients include Louise Beames, Environs Kimberley; Nicki Dyson working at Interchange WA ; Jess McGrath from Exodus Foundation; Samantha Payne from The Pink Elephants Support Network; and Craig Petty who works with Compassion Australia.

The Australian Scholarships Foundation and the Australian Graduate School of Leadership announced Natasha Kusmuk as the Doctor of Business Leadership Scholarship recipient in 2023.

Natasha is the Chair of a not-for-profit organisation called Sister Project Incorporated.

The Australian Scholarships Foundation and the Harvard Club of Australia announced Jonathon (Jono) Peatfield and Renee Wilson as the Harvard Club of Australia Ferris Family Fellowship recipients in 2023. Jono Peatfield is the Chief Executive Officer of Life Education NSW, delivering wellbeing education to children, and Renee Wilson is the Chief Executive Officer of Australian War Widows, supporting and serving veteran families.

Kilfinan Australia Not-For-Profit Mentorship Scholarships 2023

In 2023 for the first time, Kilfinan Australia and the Australian Scholarships Foundation offered mentorship scholarships for not-for-profit Emerging Leaders to be mentored by a senior corporate executive to provide support and personal growth and improve cross-sectoral understanding. The calibre of applicants was exceptional in this first year and the program was extended from ten to 13 mentorship places.

AICD scholarship

The Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), in partnership with Australian Network on Disability facilitated another round governance education scholarships, funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services. In 2023 108 full-fee scholarships were awarded. Read more about the program here.

The Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), in partnership with Australian Network on Disability facilitated another round of 15 full-fee governance education scholarships, funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services.

McKinsey Rising Leaders Forum 2023

Winners McKinsey RLF 2023

There are seventy-nine recipients of the McKinsey Rising Leaders Forum scholarship for  2023.

Recipients are from across Australian cities, regional and rural areas, and across areas including social services, health, education, environment and animal welfare, international development, and the arts, culture and recreation. Read more about the recipients here.

Stanford Australia Foundation Scholarships 2023

This year, with the support of Dyson Bequest, Stanford Australia Foundation offered 2 scholarships (with 3 places).

Stanford Australia Foundation Not-For-Profit Leadership Scholarship (2 places) and  Stanford Australia Foundation Scholarship for Not-For-Profit Leaders with Disability (1 place). Kane Blackman,  CEO of Good Sammy Enterprises in, Western Australia, Cate Bennett, Global General Councel and Company Secretary of Movember, Isaiah Dawe, Founder and CEO of ID Know Yourself (IDKY)
