This scholarship provided a valuable opportunity for me to improve my own governance skills and also to share what I've learned with fellow directors and committee members. In addition, as the cohort were all aspiring or current, not for profit directors, the learning was enhanced through the opportunity to learn from each other's experiences which were diverse, despite us being likeminded in our common interest of working or volunteering in the not-for-profit sector. It would have been challenging for me to complete this course without this scholarship, for which I am very grateful.
