Harvard Club of Australia Ferris Family Fellowship (2023)

The experience of going to Harvard was fantastic, it had always been a dream so a huge thanks to ASF and the Ferris family for making it a reality. Being able to hear the diversity of thought and challenges that 150 NFP leaders from 14 different countries brough to the program was incredible. It was an inspiring week, I have enjoyed sharing learnings and insights with my team and look forward to any opportunities to share with the wider NFP community. My favourite insight from the week was a definition of leadership provided by Professor Dutch Leonard ‘Leadership is a process of introducing a new and generally unwelcomed reality to a person or group in society and helping them successfully adapt to it.

McKinsey Executive Leadership Program, McKinsey & Company (2022)

Having support from the Australian Scholarships Foundation to participate in the McKinsey Executive Leadership Program (ELP) was fantastic, I would not have been able to attend otherwise. As an NFP participant, ELP was a great opportunity to engage with leaders outside of the sector, helping gain a different perspective and share insights. It is easy to get caught up in the NFP world, so to be able to spend time learning and meeting executives from other sectors was invaluable. I would highly recommend others in the NFP sector to apply for this opportunity through the Australian Scholarships Foundation.
