Chair, ASF Assessment Panel
Jo Buontempo has an extensive career in leadership and executive appointments within the corporate, government and community services sectors.
Her executive experience is coupled with roles as a Non Executive and Independent Director and in advisory capacities for government agencies and ministerial advisory and review panels.
Currently Jo is Deputy Chair of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation Advisory Council, Non Executive Director of Foundation Housing Ltd and Director of the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters. She is Managing Director of Kasali Migration Australia – global consultancy practice and Principal of Accelerate Consulting specialising in corporate governance, organisational & board development and strategy.
She is an Alumni of the International Fellows Program of the City University of New York, Graduate Centre for Philanthropy and Civil Society, has post graduate qualifications in Migration Law, is a Member of Australian Institute of Company Directors and Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.
Previously, Jo managed and developed organisations and services in community law, education and training, social housing, health, employment, disability, family, youth and children’s services and humanitarian protection and resettlement programs.
She maintains a strong interest in social responsibility and the development of leadership and governance capability of the Not for Profit sector. Her contribution as a Panel Assessor through ASF significantly aligns with this commitment.
