As an executive director and the CEO of Connect Community Plus Kids I find that the daily demand for the services that we provide tends to be all encompassing and it's very easy to become completely absorbed in that role. Undertaking the Scholarship program through Australian Scholarships Foundation forced me to reflect on the bigger picture and recognize that working harder isn't necessarily working smarter. Since completing the course I've been able to re structure our committee and attract new committee members who possess the skill sets more suited to where we are currently positioned. We are now in a far better position to achieve the ambitious goals that we have set ourselves.
