Since 1997, the firm’s pro bono practice has grown to one of the largest and most effective in Australia, focusing on low-income and disadvantaged clients who cannot obtain Legal Aid, and the not-for-profits which support them.

Governance Foundations for NFP Directors Scholarship - AICD (2021)

With the support of the Australian Scholarships Foundation, I was able to attend the Australian Institute of Company Directors Governance Foundations for Not-for-Profit Directors course. The expert presenter not only knew the content but drew out the experiences of the other participants to create a rich and relevant learning experience. I have been able to bring my learnings from the course back to my role as Board Director, which has been especially helpful for my participation in the Governance subcommittee. I was able to up-skill as well as build networks with colleagues and peers. Without support from the Australian Scholarship Foundation, I would not have been able to participate in this very high-quality learning opportunity.
