Stephen Micallef is Australian Group Financial Controller and Australian Company Secretary at Freightways Group Limited (FRW), who has been with FRW for 15+ years. He graduated at Swinburne University with a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting. Stephen undertook further studies and obtained a graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting.

Stephen started his career in the chartered profession, working 6 years within the audit and advisory division, most of which was spent with PwC. This provided Stephen with exposure to various ASX listed and multination companies, along with different industries including the NFP sector. Since leaving the profession, Stephen has worked in the commercial sector with large corporate entities listed in Australia and New Zealand.

Stephen is a seasoned finance and commercially focused leader, who has extensive experience in financial reporting, corporate governance, taxation and M&A to name a few. He enjoys working with various stakeholders within an organisation and being a business partner and trusted advisor to C-Suite and Executive Teams to deliver upon strategic objectives.
