Applications close 30 June

Doctor of Business Leadership

We’ve partnered with the Australian Graduate School of Leadership (AGSL) at Torrens University Australia to offer a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity to complete a Doctor of Business Leadership with a partial scholarship worth almost $40,000.

The Doctor of Business Leadership (DBL) is designed to prepare senior executives to more effectively assume overall leadership responsibility within a substantial multi-business unit organisation, operating in intensely competitive national and global markets. The program provides personal challenges and capability enhancement opportunities for experienced executives who have demonstrated the ability to contribute to the success of their organisations over at least a ten-year period and who have completed a Master Degree in a relevant business or leadership discipline.

This is an incredible opportunity for senior not-for-profit executives and leaders preparing to take on more significant leadership roles and boost their career trajectory. Applications open Australia-wide.

AICD NFP Governance Scholarships 2019 PDF Print E-mail

140 AICD Governance Scholarships for NFPs Australia-wide

Applications close 20 June

AICD Scholarships

In partnership with the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), ASF are pleased to announce 140 governance education scholarships for not-for-profits across Australia in 2019/20!

In the face of increasing complexity and demand on not-for-profits, good governance has never been more important for the not-for-profit sector. The AICD scholarship program will enable leaders of small NFP organisations in each state and territory to develop their skills and capabilities to be the leaders of the future.

The scholarships will allow board directors, the executives who report to them, and those who aspire to join a NFP board in the near future to attend the AICD's highly regarded Governance Foundations for Not-for-Profit Directors course.

Each scholarship covers 100% of the associated course fees and will be offered to non-executive directors and senior executives of NFP organisations who would otherwise be unable to attend governance education programs due to the financial constraints of the organisation.

Give for Good New Leaders Scholarships 2019 PDF Print E-mail

For emerging not-for-profit leaders Australia-wide

Give for Good New Leaders Scholarships

ASF, Give for Good and Melbourne Business School are inviting emerging not-for-profit leaders to apply for a brand new scholarship opportunity to attend the New Leaders Development Program at MBS in September. There are 12 full scholarships and a select number of Rural Travel Grants available as part of the inaugural Give for Good New Leaders Scholarships, created to develop, foster and build the capacity of local not-for-profit leaders.

The New Leaders Development Program is specifically designed for managers who are leading teams, transitioning into a leadership role, or have had little leadership development.

Scholarship recipients will become more effective leaders by learning how to better support their teams through increased impact in areas such as conflict management, performance-building and goal-setting. They will gain the insights and tools needed to build personal, team and organisational effectiveness and learn to delegate effectively, manage conflict, lead with confidence, set realistic goals and coach others.

The scholarships will be offered to individuals employed by an Australian charity or not-for-profit organisation, with preference given to organisations that support education & youth initiatives, disaster relief, and/or rural communities.
