Social Media Grants for NFPs in WA

We are delighted to open the next round of Bankwest Foundation Social Media Grants for not-for-profit organisations in Western Australia who are looking to develop their social media strategy for long-term impact.

The purpose of the Bankwest Foundation Social Media Grants is to better equip charitable not-for-profit organisations in Western Australia to communicate via social media channels with the aim of building awareness, fundraising capacity and a strong volunteer workforce. This is a unique opportunity to participate in ongoing social media training, mentorship, development and support throughout 2018.

There are up to 10x $13,000 grants available to WA-based NFPS, which will enable them to participate in a 12 month social media mentoring program delivered by Hancock Creative, an award-winning creative agency who have specifically designed this program - in collaboration with the Bankwest Foundation and ASF - to help not-for-profits in an area they need it most.

Felicity Vaughan of Lifeline WA, a 2016 grant recipient, said, "The Bankwest Social Media Grant has completely changed Lifeline WA's approach to marketing and fundraising... Our engagement in 2016 increased by more than 260% compared to the previous year. It is results like these that makes us confident that we can grow, engage and reach new audiences. As we grow our social media we believe that we will be able to drive effective results and return on investment."

Sasha Wasley of Girl Guides WA also said, "The Bankwest Foundation scholarship gave us the tools we needed to address some issues we were having with our membership - including engagement, recruitment and retention. The best thing about the program was that we finished in a position of empowerment - we are now ready and capable of skilfully managing our social/online profiles. The program was an incredibly powerful boost for our online presence that has translated to real growth for the organisation."
