Scholarship recipient announcement
The Australian Scholarships Foundation, with our partners Australian Graduate School of Leadership (AGSL) and Torrens University Australia, is delighted to announce Helen Jentz as the recipient of the AGSL / Torrens University Australia – Doctor of Business Leadership scholarship in 2022. Helen Jentz is the Chief Executive Officer of Wounds Australia, the peak professional association and health promotion organisation for Australia’s wound prevention, management, and care.
Helen Jentz shares: “The challenges facing not-for-profit leaders continue to grow and get more complex. Holding true to the principles and values of the organisation you work for whilst building a highly ‘profitable’ business to do more, achieve more, is becoming increasingly difficult.”
“Being afforded this opportunity to undertake the Doctor of Business Leadership, to expand my knowledge and skills and apply them to achieve significant societal change through the work of not-for-profits is truly incredible.”

The Australian Graduate School of Leadership and Torrens University Australia recognise how the important role of not-for-profits in supporting our communities and are proud to work with the Australian Scholarships Foundation to support sector leaders to build their capabilities to help their organisations grow and create greater impact in their communities.
It is the sixth year AGSL and Torrens University Australia have generously offered this scholarship for not-for-profit leaders, supporting 40 per cent of the Doctor of Business Leadership program fees. The Doctor of Business Leadership studies provides a learning journey for leaders to deal with the radical changes ahead for their organisational environments.
The CEO of the Australian Scholarships Foundation, Louisa Graham, said the impact of these scholarships in uplifting the skills of sector leaders is impressive.
“Our scholars share that new perspectives and learnings are helping them lead through these difficult times, yet our research finds 90 per cent of our scholars would not have had the opportunity to study without a scholarship. We are extremely grateful to our partner Australian Graduate School of Leadership and Torrens University Australia for generously offering this scholarship opportunity in 2022,” she said.
